How do I start?

Want to save on your textbook purchase this semester? You have come to the right place. Just search for your class using the navigation on the left and begin shopping like you would at any other online store.

Because we list our inventory right alongside all our competitors' prices, you know you are getting the best deal for your money.

How do I know what books I need?

We have contacted your professors and organized all textbooks based on the current semester’s class information. Just search for your class or professor  to see the textbooks that are required.

 

Are the books used or new?

We offer both. We offer  brand new textbooks, like new textbooks that have no writing or highlighting, and used textbooks. We promise any book you buy from us is in great condition, with no tears, water damage etc. You may return, at no additional charge, any books that you are not happy with for a complete refund or replacement.

Are supplemental materials included with every textbook?

Although we make every effort to include all supplemental materials (CDs, online access codes, etc.) we cannot guarantee that supplemental materials will be available for used or like new textbooks.

Do you offer better prices than my campus bookstore?

  YES. Our customers save anywhere from 5 - 60% off the prices you would pay at the bookstore.

We do our research and find out what the campus bookstore would be selling their textbooks for, so we can then beat those prices.

In addition, our prices usually rival those of half.com, eBay, Amazon, etc. and list list their prices right alongside our prices.

How do I pay?

All web site orders may be paid via credit card or  Paypal. All payments are secure and your personal information will remain protected and confidential.

Can I pay with cash or check?

Unfortunately, due to the logistics of collecting cash or check payments from customers, we are unable to offer anything other than online credit card payments for purchases. We apologize for the inconvenience.

 

When do I get my books?

Order before you head back to school and your books will be delivered in time for your first class. All deliveries will be made within 24-48 hours of purchase following the first day of classes.

Order places with other vendors listed on our site (Amazon, half,com, Chegg, etc) will ship out based on those companies' shipping policies.

What if I am living off campus?

If you are living off campus, feel free to order books from us. We will deliver the books within 2 days.

What is your return policy?

We will accept returns within 30 days, no questions asked. Just click log into your account, select your order, and click the “Creat Return” link. We will even arrange for a DormBooks employee to pick you your textbook from your dorm room.

 

We do ask that if you are considering dropping a class, please do not purchase your textbooks from us at this time. This helps us maintain low prices.

What if I receive the wrong book/damaged book?

Though we have checked, and double checked, our lists to make sure you are receiving the correct book for your course, we will offer you a full refund or replacement if you receive the incorrect book for your course.

Where does DormBooks get its books and how can it offer such low prices?

DormBooks buys its books from students at the end of each semester. These books are used, but guaranteed to be in great condition. DormBooks then sells these textbooks to you, being able to offer some of the lowest pricesanywhere.

I can trust the campus Bookstore; how do I know I can trust DormBooks?

If you don’t like our books you can always go to the bookstore and buy them yourself. But we’re confident that our professionalism and low prices will win you over.
